IDX?
IDX is short for INTERNET DATA EXCHANGE, a term coined by
NAR... IDX (Internet Data Exchange) also known as Broker Reciprocity
(BR) allows participating Brokers to display active MLS listing
information on their web site(s), provided that the data display conforms
to the policies, rules and specifications of their MLS Board and state
law. IDX is a MLS data solution that is provided to the Brokerage for
use on their websites. IDX solutions do not require that you obtain a
registration from the user. Brokers can display the MLS listing data of
all brokerages that have chosen to participate in IDX, so long as they
prominently display the BR logos, disclaimers and appropriate
distinctions between their own listings and those of another office.

eIDX.com is an Internet Service Provider who specializes in managing IDX
data feeds and web sites for our real estate brokerage and agent

current real estate housing data available, straight from their local
MLS system.
Who can use MLS IDX
data?
Typically only real
estate brokers have direct access to MLS IDX data. Real estate agents
can receive access to IDX data through their broker. This usually
requires written permission from their employing brokerage to
publish the IDX housing data. MLS rules about the use of IDX data
vary from MLS to MLS.

Can the eIDX.com home
search be used in my web site?
Answer: Yes, if you are a real estate broker who participates in
your MLS's IDX program. And Yes, again if you are agent employed
by a brokerage that participates in their MLS's IDX program, if you have
written permission from your broker.
Do I have to host my web
site with eIDX.com?
Answer: No, you do not have to host your site with eIDX.com.
